the straps help with certain items with no grips but doesn't make moving SUPER easy.
Saved my back,

I bought this to help move several large couches. I could have used a dolly and tilted the couch onto it, but this worked well and saved me from having to bend over and hurt my back. (Keep your back straight when lifting.) I'd use this only on flat surfaces and not on stairs. I wouldn't use this item as depicted in the advertising photo (i.e. lifting a tall armoire up some stairs), but otherwise I am pleased with the product.
Love them!,

I was a bit skeptical too, but had an Amazon gift card to use, so I decided to try them. They are awesome! My husband and I often have to move heavy things, and I always struggle -- not because I lack the general strength, but because I'm always relying on my fingertips to support a piece of furniture. The forearm forklift puts the weight on your arms, and not your hands/fingers, making things so much easier to lift and carry. I like them so much that I just bought a pair for my brother, and will get some for my Dad as well.
We have used them on stairs without too much of an issue - it is just a matter of balance, like anything else. It's still a hundred times easier than carrying it by hand. I would definitely recommend!

We used them the first time with a peice of furniture that you could not get a grip on to lift. They worked great. Even with the height difference between my husband and me. I truly recommend them.
Great straps, but takes a little getting used to,

I've used this straps many times, at first it was awkward, and not very intuitive.
But eventually I got used to lifting with the inner elbow, and hands clasped around the corner of the furniture. My arms probably has a 20 degree angle(perpendicular to the ground, not 45) It's definitely worth the purchase.
Getting the optional 3.5ft Extension Strap is crucial for picking up large piece of furniture, like long dresser, or tall entertainment center.
(Actually this is what makes it worthwhile, because smaller items usually aren't much of an issue for 2 movers, but larger items that are loaded up can be, take it fro me, I've been 6years in business and counting)
You'll amaze yourselves with what you can carry!
