Special Powers/Weapons/Moves/Features
Whether racing around an obstacle-filled track or battling in an arena, drifting and tossing items are the keys to Mario Kart success. Players can shake the Wii Remote while launching off a ramp to pull off a trick that will temporarily boost their speed. When riding a bike, players can gain additional speed by flicking the Wii Remote up and popping a wheelie
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection:
Keeping in the tradition of Mario Kart, Nintendo has pushed multiplayer racingeven further utilizing the Wii's built in Wi-Fi Connection. There are two options for races and battles over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection: up to 12 people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or up to 10 people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with two people playing locally.

Mario Kart Wii is your typical Mario Kart game. There are new courses, but some are very similar to those found in Mario Kart Double Dash for the Gamecube. The interactive online capability is a nice, new feature which allows you to play with other wii friends and to compete in challenges. If you're a mario kart fan, you won't be disappointed, but don't expect any extraordinary changes.

We love this game, especially the split screen capability when playing as a team. My kids just love coaching each other. I love the different character and car options. I like that you don't necessarily need a wheel to play this game. So that's one less accessory to buy.

I don't own this game, but have played it many times at friends' houses. Overall, it's awesome. I was able to adapt to the Wii wheel in a short time and found the steering more fun than a regular control stick. The multiplayer is very fun, and up to 4 players can play with either the Wii wheel, a remote with a nunchuck, a remote with a classic controller, or a Gamecube controller. I must say I can see why it is so popular and one of the top-selling racing games ever. Many different characters, karts/bikes, and tracks make it epic. Mario Kart Wii is an excellent addition to any Wii game collection.

What fun this game is! My son & I love love love it! We have so much fun racing each other, playing on the different tracks.
For beginner players, I highly suggest you play alone for a few rounds to get used to the different tracks. There are quite a few tracks that you can fall off of in some points. Some tracks have several areas where you can fall into water or into oblivion.
For intermediate players, you'll love the challenge that each track has to offer. If you don't know how to drift, this is the time to hone that skill.
For advanced players, you'll love the challenges of each track too. Drifting into the turns to gain the advantage is key to winning the races & getting the First Place Trophy at the end.
For everyone, each character has different karts & bikes. Play around with each one until you find a character & a kart that you like. Soon you'll be racing & laughing with your friends until your sides hurt.
Great Family Fun!,

Our family received Mario Kart for Christmas and we just love it! We have had way too much fun with this game! With all four of us playing together, it's quite entertaining. And that is one of the best benefits to the newer Nintendo, is that on some games, you can have more than 1 or 2 players and include a couple more people in on the playing. We've had quite a few entertaining family nights with this game. It's a great game for the young or the old!
Some levels are fairly easy and some are a little more difficult to get through, but that just adds to the challenge of the game.
I recommend this game to anyone and everyone!
