Awful....absolutely awful.,

Owned since the release of the console and it's still mint. The controller is poorly developed that I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone at any price. The first thing that needs to be known about this controller is its akward design. It does not fit confortably in your hand at all. The rear button springs take a bit of effort to push in as you can't exactly just tap them. They are so stiff that you can actually hear the springs. The two analog sticks or extrememly close together. You'll be rubbing your thumbs together more than anything else... and aside from all theis the worse feature is the location of the attachment cord. It is always in the since it faces you. This controller is the worse design I have ever used in over 20 years of gaming. The original nintendo controller with its square and jagged shape that cut into your hands after hours of play was better than this.
When the classic controller was released I felt releived and it should have been made sooner. If you need a classic controller skip this and get the latest version it's worlds apart and all the features I just mentioned have been changed. THe new controller features softer trigger button springs so now you can gently tap buttons as you play. The center analog sticks are further apart so your thumbs have space now. The best part of all is that the cord is in the back where it belongs! Out of your way and off your lap. My favorite part about the CCpro is that is has palm handles and it feel so comfortable to use. The Classic controller shown here is nintendo's mistake. Make the right choice and get the improvement with the classic controller pro.
Worked as expected, fun to have for the older games,

Bought this for my teenage son so we could download some of the older games that we used to play on the N64. Well worth the investment, now we can play Legend of Zelda and other games on our wii.
Works great,

I bought this so I could play Virtual Console games (and emulated games) on the Nintendo Wii. The controller works as advertised and I have no complaints!
This controller plugs into the bottom of a WiiMote, so, while there is a cord (non-wireless), you can take the WiiMote+Controller tether anywhere within range of the Wii's bluetooth.
I've enjoyed playing old SNES games (which I think the controller is designed the most for). N64, NES, and Genesis games are also ported well with this controller, and I was able to adjust for these button setups quickly.
I recommend this controller for anyone with a Nintendo Wii that enjoys playing older games (NES, SNES, SEGA Gensis/Master System, MAME, Neo-Geo, N64, etc).
Get the pro instead,

It's great that Wii lets you play the classic games. But get the Wii Classic Controller Pro - Black instead - it has more options and is the same price.
